On the high end is the M1 Ultra chip which will fly through any type of encoding.įor Windows, things become a little bit trickier. The cheapest option you can get is the M1 CPU which Premiere Pro runs great on. Newer Macs use Apple’s proprietary chipset. Mac users don’t have much of a say in this decision (which can be either a good or bad thing depending on who you ask). There are so many CPU options on the market that it can sometimes be hard to decide which one to go with.
